What costs are involved?
For a consultation the fee is $250.
The Surgery cost includes the Surgical fee, Anaesthetic fee, operating theatre costs and hospital charges. It is intended that both left and right sides will be reversed. Occasionally only one side can be reversed or the surgery may take longer than expected. The hospital charges may vary if operating time is shorter or longer than expected. The total varies according to duration of the operation.
Currently in 2022 the total cost is about $13,000. This is an estimate, more details can be provided prior to hospital admission particularly if overnight stay is preferred.
Post Operative Review
A review appointment six weeks following the surgery is required to perform a brief physical exam and discuss the operation findings again. A semen analysis will usually be requested after this appointment. Further advice regarding pregnancy will be provided. There is no charge for the review appointment.
